Selling used cars.
The current trend, as in past recession periods is to buy used cars. Dealers of used vehicles are reporting large sales figures. This fact, coupled with the public “need to sell” in the current financial climate, makes auction buying of vehicles a very attractive idea for both buyer and seller.

Well it has been a long time since i treated myself to a newer car. I sold my porsche boxster 3 weeks ago and have been looking for a replacement with a bit of oomph!
But what can match a porsche performance wise? The answer to that is nothing, nothing that is affordable, not to me anyhow. My porsche was on a category d insurance tag, basically that means it was a repaired insurance writeoff. My only chance of owning a high performance car was to buy another insurance loss, so i have been looking and this is what i found.
Another insurance writeoff.
The seat leon that i found on a cat d loss was well repaired and 5 years younger than my old porsche which was a 2001 model. The porsche was a quite fast guided missile type drive, the leon is a very fast semi guided missile by comparison.
As you can see the side of the car has quite a nasty scrape up one side, the bonnet, wing, both doors and rear panel have damage but it is only skin deep.
The repaired item. As you can see the repair has the car looking good as new. The car has been given a new wing, had some tin bashing done on the doors, rear wing and a top quality respray.
This car normally retails at around £15000, the fact that it was a cat d repair allowed me to purchase it @ 30% discount.
In summary. A Cat d insurance loss can be a good buy.

Welcome to my blog hole
I am new to this blogging lark but everyone is doing it so here is my first blog post on my first blog.
Why call it “the blog hole”? Well it was the first thing that went through my mind when i was at the registrar control panel thinking of a name. My mind was in the gutter at the time and as “the bog hole” is one of many uk slang words for toilet, along with, loo, khazi, throne and many others the blog hole stuck, well it would because it does. So here i am at the blog hole, sitting near the blog roll, reading a paper.
